Santa Fe, NM –

I’m sitting at the hotel here in Santa Fe, NM. It is difficult to believe the first week of tour is complete. It always goes by so fast. The change in weather has also been drastic. We started out in Ft. Collins, CO with sunny, warm weather, and by the time we headed to NM it was snowing.

Starting out the tour in Ft. Collins was a great choice. The Lyric Cinema Cafe has become one of my favorite venues. It is quaint and seats the perfect amount of people, for an intimate show. We actually sold out and had to turn some people away. I wish I would have known that. I would have given them a DVD to take home and watch. I heard they were young telemark kids too, which was even tougher to hear. That’s a huge part of why I do what I do – to share my work with the youth. Hopefully they’ll make it out next time. I hope they do.

This week we did shows in:

Ft. Collins, CO
Laramie, WY
Edwards, CO
Denver, CO
Taos, NM
Santa Fe, NM

We are hitting Flagstaff, AZ on Tuesday. From that point forward it will be more familiar territory for me.
My friend Alex Paul is along for the ride on this tour. It is great to have the help and extra stoke each night. It is rare that one has the opportunity to work with friends. I’m grateful that I’m able to do this. It makes what I do that much more rewarding.

I’m finally getting caught up with the work associated with this movie and tour. It feels good when I reach this point. It means I have time to look at other things in the queue. The second issue of Telemark Skier is next on the plate.

I’ve also started work on a book of poetry. I’ll be releasing that some time in 2012. Most likely a year from now. I’ll solidify a date in the coming months. I’m partly doing this project in hopes of gaining the knowledge of how to publish a book. It will be a challenge, one I’m looking forward to.

The next six months will also give me the time to work on organizing and creating the material for my first record. Again, this will be a challenge. I’m eager to get these projects rolling. They are things I have wanted to do for a very long time.

There is still quite a load of work to be done this evening. I better get back to it.

Thank you for checking in. I appreciate your interest.
